High-drop running shoes

Rule: Heel-to-toe drop of 10 mm or more · 12 current models

A high drop means the heel sits noticeably higher than the forefoot, 10 mm or more here. It raises the heel relative to the toes, which changes the ankle position when the shoe is standing flat.

Drop is only one of several geometry measures. Use the table to compare it with heel stack, forefoot stack and weight, and open a shoe for its full set of sourced values.

Questions

Is a higher drop better?
Neither is better in general. Drop is a characteristic that changes how a shoe feels and how the foot is positioned, and runners differ in what suits them.
